It started at a small party one night. Typical rock and roll argument...
"What do you mean, Revolver is way better than Rubber Soul?!? Lets
ask everyone in the room what they think. We all know the songs."
And with pen and paper, we went down the 2 CDS, track by track, keeping
score much a like a game of darts. "This would make a great Web site,"
someone said. So, here we are...
Part of the argument for Rubber Soul's superiority is based not on the
best cuts, but the weakest. Revolver's "Love You To" is consistently
the least remembered of the bunch. Factoring in not just which track is
better, but by how much, may provide a better comparison of the two albums.
Ultimately, this survey isn't intended to be very scientific. It's just
meant to be a fun site, and one that will reinforce (not that it hasn't
been enough already) just how damn amazing The Beatles were during this
time period.
